Don, Jean and Stacey,
We were deeply saddened to hear of the loss of your dad. What a special person he was! He will be sorely missed, but may you find comfort in the knowledge that he is in a better place free of pain. May all the wonderful memories of your dad and grandfather remain in your hearts forever and help you through this time of sadness. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Don, Jean and Stacey,
Our prayers are with you as you walk this ‘strange journey’ of grief and gladness. It’s hard to let them go; yet our hearts can only be glad that those we love have arrived in the land they preached about all those years. Perhaps soon A.W. and Papa will have a chance to chat by the River of Life and talk about their girls.
JEAN AND FAMILY, I WILL BE PRAYING FOR YOU ALL DURING THIS SAD TIME IN
YOUR LIFE. EVEN THOUGH WE KNOW HE IS WITH GOD AND WELL AGAIN, WE STILL MISS THEM. HE SERVED GOD WELL WHILE HE WAS HERE AND NOW HE
IS VISITING WITH OLD FRIENDS LIKE MY UNCLE REX, HIS COUSIN, THEY ARE
SHARING OLD STORIES. LET ME KNOW IF I CAN EVER BE OF HELP YOU TO IN
ANY WAY.
LOVE GALE
Dear Family, You are in my thoughts and prayers, but thru A.J.’s death I have learned that those of us left behind are missing them but they would not return to this earth for nothing. Just think how happy he is in HEAVEN. With his wife and many, many, friends and family. I know he and A.J. have found each other and are praising the Lord. I am thinking of you and praying for you during this time. I know you will miss him greatly. He was a wonderful person and a wonderful pastor. He was a lot of fun to be around. He did like to cut up. Love to all of you.

In 1973 when my family moved to Asheville, AW Jones provided our first home by renting a little duplex apartment to us on Utopia Road. By chance he became a great landlord, by choice he became a lifetime friend.
While working at the VA Medical Center together, Jean and I cultivated a friendship that is precious and rare.
Jean, while AW Jones and Vernon Wood share good ole-time preacher man stories in heaven, you and I can share Daddy stories here. Buddo and my dear Papa will never be farther than a memory away!
Dave and I will continue to lift up your family in prayer.

[[[HE WAS MY HERO]]]
Dear Family of A. W. Jones,
I want to express my sincere sympathy for the loss of your loved one. You can be assured that hope and encouragement needed is found in the Bible. In the Bible book of Revelations 21, 4 we read of a time when every tear will be wiped from our eyes. Please take care of yourselves.
Sincerely
Dearest Jean,
I just learned of your fathers passing and I’am so very sorry. I lost my baby brother July of 2008. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Lovingly,
Margaret Smith
