Barbara Graybill Moore, 88, died peacefully on Friday, April 12, 2013, in Arden, N.C., surrounded by family. She was the daughter of the late H. Winey Graybill and Dorothy Fager Graybill.
Barbara always had fond memories of growing up in Harrisburg, PA. She graduated from Gettysburg College in 1947. While at Gettysburg, she met the love of her life, Albert G. Moore of Ramsey, N.J. They were married for 63 wonderful years until his death in 2011.
Mrs. Moore lived most of her adult life in Whitehouse, N.J. She retired after a long career as a kindergarten teacher and Assistant Principal at Three Bridges Elementary School in Three Bridges, N.J. She lovingly taught and nurtured three generations of Hunterdon County children. Barbara was a loyal friend, adding new friends all of her life, while maintaining old friendships, and she shared great love with her family. Her many interests included bridge, music, cooking, travelling, Duke basketball, Penn State football and the beaches at Lakehurst, N.J., Bethany Beach, DE and Lighthouse Point, FL.
Barbara is survived by her brother, Henry W. Graybill, Jr. and his wife, Jackie, and their family; her daughter, Sally Jamieson, and her husband, Ronald, of Waynesville, N.C.; her son, Albert G. Moore, Jr., and his wife, Denise Caffrey, of Atlanta, GA., together with grandchildren Sara Hammond (Robert Laney), Jill Messerle (William Thomas), Holly Wright (Gavin Peter), A. Garver Moore III (Lindsay Michel) and Carson Moore, and great grandchildren Colin, Annabel and Eva Messerle, and twins Claire and Marian Hammond.

A graveside family memorial service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisburg, PA.
