Barbara G. Lewis, 79, of Hoopers Creek, passed on to her heavenly home on Sunday, November 11, 2012, at The Oaks At Sweeten Creek. She was the daughter of the late Dennis Jerome and Annie Morrow Greene and the wife of the late Dan Lewis. She is survived by two sons, Rex and his wife, Rosa, of Mills River, Dennis and his wife, Janice, of Fletcher; two daughters, Gwen Moffitt and her husband, Chris, and Dianna Birchfield and her husband, Don, of Fletcher; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Thelma Wright of Fairview and Shirley Sales of Asheville and one brother, S.E. Greene of Fletcher. Our thanks to Asheville Specialty Hospital, CarePartners Hospice and The Oaks at Sweeten Creek, and to all the nursing staff for all the wonderful care given to Mama. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville conducted by the Reverend Phillip Youngblood.
