Barbara Hester (Tallent) Mashburn, 81, of Arden, passed away suddenly Friday, February 18, 2022 in her residence.
Born in Franklin, NC, she was the wife of the late Richard Nathaniel Mashburn, and the daughter of the late Henry David and Dora (Jones) Tallent.
She is also survived by two sons, Ronald and Alvin Mashburn, and three grandchildren: Ty, Destiny, and Serenity Mashburn.
It was her wish that no services be held, and that her ashes be placed with her husband’s on the mountain land she owned and loved. When friends and neighbors gather to pray, give thanks that I am home and walking with God and Richard.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
