Barbara McCurry Ward

Barbara McCurry Ward, 76, of Alexander, died Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at the Asheville Healthcare Center. A native of Buncombe Co., Mrs. Ward was a daughter of the late Virgil and Mae Johnson McCurry. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gene A. Ward. Mrs. Ward worked for Eckerd Pharmacy for many years. Surviving are her daughters, Waynette Davis and Wendy Norvell; sons, Jeff Ward and Joey Ward; and five grandchildren. Mrs. Ward's family will hold a private service. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
