Beatrice (Bea) G. Bailey, 83, of Arden, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021.
Born in Buncombe County, she was the wife of the late Will Bailey, Jr. and daughter of Percy Manious and Elizabeth Wells Graham. She was a lifelong resident of the Avery’s Creek community.
Bea was a member of Avery’s Creek Christian Church where she played piano for many years. Bea retired from Borg Warner and, upon her retirement, managed the Council on Aging Meal Site in Avery’s Creek. Bea was active in Girl Scouts for many years, as well as serving as the Southeast Region Babe Ruth Softball Commissioner.
Bea is survived by a son, Michael “Mike” Bailey (Vikki) of Mills River, NC; a daughter, Kara Michelle Bailey (Brandon) of Worland, WY; two grandsons: Jonathan and Timothy (Claire) Bailey; and 3 great-grandchildren: Ella, Oliver and Beatrix Bailey.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Sweet lady..so sorry for your loss..last time I saw her she was riding a cart in Ingles with her precious husband by het side..now both in Heaven..God bless the family..Gloria Bishop.
We will miss you Bea
Bea was always so sweet to me. We worked together at BorgWarner and Schwitzer for many years. I will miss her sweet smiling face in our early morning prayer group at work. God bless all of you, and I will be in prayer for you.
