Beauford Bruce Robinson, 59, of 230 Goughes Branch Road, Leicester, died Saturday, July 29, 2006, at Memorial Mission Hospital. Mr. Robinson was born July 28, 1947, in Mars Hill, and was a son of the late Cuy and Trilby Ponder Robinson. He was a dry wall installer. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother and friend and is survived by his wife, Terry Gayheart Robinson; one daughter, Becky Hawkins of Asheville; three sons, Stacy Robinson of Asheville, Chris Robinson of Leicester, and Dewayne Robinson of Orlando, FL; three sisters, Marilyn Parham of Canton, Suzie Ramsey of Mars Hill, and Gloria Leatherwood of Hendersonville; three brothers, J.C. Robinson of Asheville, Ronald Robinson of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Gary Robinson of Canton; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Ponder officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronald, J.C., Gary, Chris, Stacy and Dewayne Robinson. His family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

  4. I am Beauford’s neice (Ralph’s daughter) and saw him throughout the years as I visited NC. I remember him as a friendly, laid back kind of man, with a vivid interest in automobiles! I’ll never forget pulling up to Mamaw’s house in my rental pseudo-sports car and having Beauford come right over, pull up the hood, and check out the engine!
    My husband Charles and I send our warmest condolences to the entire Robinson family.

  6. We are so sorry for your loss. We went to school with Beauford and always liked him. We didn’t know of this until to late for the Visitation or Funeral. Our Thoughts and Prayers are with you and your family.
