Bernice Brubaker Ferguson

Bernice Brubaker Ferguson, 84, of Fleshers of Fairview and formerly of Rocky Mount, VA, went to be with the Lord on November 6, 2012. She was the daughter of the late John Henry and Annie Mae Flora Brubaker. Bernice was also preceded in death by one brother, Lowell Brubaker and two sisters, Estelle Wilbourn and Janet Dillon. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Theede of Fletcher, NC and Jo Ann Hodges and her husband, Drew, of Sumter, SC; one sister, Iva Lam and her husband, Thornton, of Amissville, VA; four grandchildren, Ryan Theede and his wife Lacey, Todd Theede and his wife Bethany, Jacob Hodges and his wife Whitney and Kara Cox and her husband, Jonathan; six great-grandchildren, Alana, Silas and Dominic Theede, Savannah and Quinlynn Hodges and Eleanor Cox as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 23, 2012 at Germantown Brick Church of the Brethren in Rocky Mount, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church, 2363 Brick Church Road, Rocky Mount, VA 24151 or to Fleshers of Fairview, 3016 Cane Creek Rd, Fairview, NC 28730.
