Bette H. Lewis, 79, of 13 Barclay Road, Candler, passed away Monday, October 2, 2006 at Mountain Area Hospice Solace Center.
Mrs. Lewis retired from St. Joseph’s Hospital as a Recovery Room Nurse.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Clayton Waldo Lewis; three sons, Stanley Mosher and wife Len Len of Asheville, Bob Lewis and wife Debbie of Fayetteville, NC, Phillip Lewis and wife Pam of Asheville; one daughter, Catherine Hagan and husband John of Marshall, VA; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue with her son, the Rev. Robert L. Lewis officiating.
Her family will receive friends a half an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
The Lewis family would like to thank the staff of the John F. Keever Solace Center for all of the loving care and kindness extended to our family during Mrs. Lewis’ illness.
