Asheville ~ Bettie Rose Weaver Nichols of Brook Forest Drive, died Saturday July 10, 2004 at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Paul G. and Althea Gregory Weaver and was also preceded in death by her husband, John Asbury Nichols who died in 1980.
Mrs. Nichols was a member of Skyland United Methodist Church and also volunteered for over 20 years at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Lynda Nichols Gennett and son-in- law, Chappie.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday 11:00 AM at Riverside Cemetery conducted by the Reverend Arnie Corriher.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Buncombe County Friends for Animals, 180 Merrimon Ave., Asheville, NC 28804.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road is in charge of arrangements.
