Betty Allen Carrelli, 72, of Fairview, died Thursday, December 27, 2012.
A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late Charles L. Allen and Elveta Gregory Allen.
Mrs. Carrelli was a lifelong resident of Swannanoa. She enjoyed the outdoors, her dogs, and gardening.
She is survived by a son, Michael Carrelli and wife Terri; grandchildren Joshua and Emily Carrelli; sister Carolyn Staton; nephew David Pate and wife Glenda; and niece Kathy McHone and husband Keith.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2012, at Sky View Memorial Park. The Rev. Frank Cantrell will officiate.
The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, PO Box 8195, Asheville, NC 28814.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.

From the day I was born you were always there. you always had a kind word for me. when I was down you would always try to pick me up and get me going. We walked a lot of miles together down life’s rough road. Now that you have made that crossing, hope to see you soon. Glenda and I miss you and we will always love you.

My dear sweet Aunt Betty , I can still see you standing in the window waving & blowing me kisses as I was leaving from a visit. The last time I visited you I knew I would never see you again here on earth & I gave you my last kisses.I will always remember your spirit & the way you always made me smile. I love you ! Rest in peace my sweet Aunt Betty.

So sorry to hear about your Mom passing. Betty was like a Mom to me when we were growing up.
I took care of Ms. Carrelli for many years and always looked forward to her visits. She was so kind and thoughtful, and I’ll always remember the big cake she brought me when I closed my private practice. She was a very special person and I know she will be greatly missed.
Sorry to hear of your mom’s passing,I always enjoyed our conversations when she called.She dealt with some difficult health issues,and will get her rewards in heaven.I wish I could attend but I am at work today. Take care of yourselves and if I could be of any assistance please let me know.It will be a sad time but the healing process for the loss of a parent gets easier with time.Heal well.Pat

So sorry to hear of the passsing of Betty..I worked with her for many years at Kmart on Tunnel Road..she was most definitly a one of a kind person…she was special..May God help you through your loss…
