Betty Ann Hall Jordan, 81, of Asheville, died Wednesday, November 2, 2011.
Mrs. Jordan was born in Dearborn, MI, and was a daughter of the late Edwin V. and Martha Ann Sheppard Hall. She was married to Bill Ray Jordan, who died in 1991.
Mrs. Jordan was a CNA at Memorial Mission Hospital and was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Jackie Booth and husband, Robert, of Florida; a son, David R. Jordan and wife, Laurie, of Asheville; four grandchildren, Suzanne and Joseph Booth, Ashley Smith, and McKenzie King; a special grandson, Travis Jordan; a sister, May Johnson and husband, Bud, and a brother, Billy Hall and wife, Sarah, all of Michigan.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Grey Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, and suggest that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the American Heart Assn. 3535 Pelham Road, Suite 101, Greenville, SC 29615 , or to the American Cancer Society, 120 Executive Park, #1, Asheville, NC 28801.
Betty, we will always cherish our memories of you. Thanks for the wonderful banana puddings! We will miss your laughter and beautiful smile. You are a very precious and special lady. Our prayers go out to the family. May God give you comfort and peace during this time.
I’m so Saddened because Betty was My Dearest Friend, Who I loved so Much. She took Me to Church & went out to eat alot. I will Cherish all the Memories that we had Together. My Prayer’s are with All the Family.

I always saw a smile on Ms. Betty’s face taking care of patients at the hospital. I was so saddened to hear of her passing. I know she’s in heaven trying out her wings and watching over all of you. I will keep you and your family in my prayers during this difficult time- Janet Wofford, Mission Health Security.
I am so sorry for your loss. Betty was a friend to Frankie and me.
I am sorry to hear of Ms. Betty’s death. She was a great person to work with–always smiling and so happy to be at work. I will always remember her banana pudding with her special touch that she made for us.
It was a joy knowing and working with Betty at Mission Hospitals. She was a hard-working, energetic, and kind-hearted individual. She was loved and will be missed. May you find comfort in the wonderful legacy she leaves.
