Betty Carolyn Price, 79, of 100 Cheerio Lane, Arrowhead Apartments, Asheville, died Friday, February 16, 2007, at her residence. An Asheville native, she was a daughter of the late Arthur McCoy and Elizabeth Neighbors Scott. Mrs. Price is survived by her daughter, Joy Price Paul, of Plano, TX; son, Rodney Price, of Asheville; brother, Arthur B. Scott, of Painted Post, NY; grandchildren, Meghan and Collin Paul; and niece Rachel Weaver. A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. with the Rev. Jay Paul officiating. Interment will follow at Gashes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Macular Degeneration Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 531313, Henderson, NV 89053.
