Betty Jean “Dean” Woody Rector, 86, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 at Aston Park Health Center.
Mrs. Rector was born in Swannanoa, NC to the late Coy and Mary Wright Woody. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Rector and two brothers, John Woody and Coy Woody, Jr.
Betty retired from First Union Bank. She was an active member of West Asheville Baptist Church and loved being involved wherever she could at the Church.
She is survived by a sister, Margaret Arrowood (J.C.); two nieces and one nephew.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 11:00 am at West Asheville Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to West Asheville Baptist Church, 926 Haywood Road, Asheville NC 28806.
