Betty Fore Stroupe, 72, of Asheville, died Friday, November 27, 2009, at John F. Keever Solace Center. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Lucille Garren Fore and was also preceded in death by her husband David L. "Birdseed" Stroupe. Mrs. Stroupe was retired from SDX Electronics after several years of service. She was a member of Oakley Baptist Church but attended The Place Fellowship Church. Survivors include two sons, Joey Osborne and wife Lisa of Asheville and Greg Osborne and wife Kathy of Candler; six grandchildren, Matt Osborne, Melanie Stevens and husband Daniel, Julie Burnette and husband Andrew, Mark Osborne, Allison Osborne and Chase Moore; a sister, Billie Solesbee and husband Dewey of Asheville; two brothers, Ray Fore and wife Millie of Fletcher and Paul Fore, Jr. and wife Wanda of Westminster, SC. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Mike Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Skyview Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to John F. Keever Solace Center, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.

    and know the holes left in our hearts when we go down this road.
