Betty Jean Huntley Styles, 78, of Asheville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 27, after a long illness. She was surrounded by her loving family at home. Betty was born in Asheville and was a daughter of the late Aden C. and Nora Godfrey Huntley. She retired from the National Climatics Data Center of Asheville. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Billy Frank Styles; one daughter, Donna Styles Tipton of Swannanoa and one son, Jimmy Styles (Lisa) of Arden; four grandchildren, Joshua Styles (Holly), Jeremy Styles, Jenalee Luther (Alex), and Katie Tipton; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Wright of Asheville and Mary Walker of Black Mountain; family friend, Teresa Stone; several nephews, nieces and cousins. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 30, at 2:00 p.m. at Beverly Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. William King officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Flowers are appreciated and memorials may be made in her honor to the Beverly Hills Baptist Church Choir Robe Fund, 777 Tunnel Road, Asheville, NC, 28805. Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road is assisting the family.
