Betty Jean Huff, 80, of Fletcher, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at the CarePartners Solace Center.
A native of Buncombe Co., Betty was a daughter of the late Harland Andrew Huff and Rosalie Wherry Huff. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Richard and Paul Huff.
Betty was a member of Temple Baptist Church and retired as an accountant for the American Red Cross.
She is survived by a brother, Walter Huff, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, at Temple Baptist Church, with Pastor Patrick Creed, III, officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family.

We were so sorry to learn today about Betty’s passing. John worked with Betty at the Red Cross for many years and was fortunate to call her a good friend. She was loyal, kind, compassionate and trustworthy. Unfortunately, we are unable to attend her service. We will continue to remember Betty, who lived her faith everyday.
