Betty Jean Taylor Plemmons, of Candler, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, June 28, 2006, at her residence. A Henderson Co. native, Mrs. Plemmons was daughter of the late William A. Taylor and Freda Brevard Crisp. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Plemmons. Mrs. Plemmons worked with Drs. Riddle, Lemler, and Holt as an oral surgery assistant. She was a member of Starnes Cove Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Mrs. Plemmons is survived by three daughters, Kim and Darrell Gillett, Terri P. and David Balding, and Cheryl Plemmons; sister, Ruby Bennes; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild, all of Candler. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Shepherd Memorial Park for family and friends with the Rev. Charlie Sams officiating. At other times, the family will be at their home at 23 Pinedale Rd., Candler, NC, 28715. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hands of Faith, P.O. Box 16948, Asheville, NC, 28816.
