Betty Marie Hyde

Betty Marie Hyde, 77, of 787 Upper Glady Fork Road, Candler, died Monday, February 16, 2009, at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center. Mrs. Hyde was born in Haywood County and was a daughter of the late J.B. and Nota Green Hyde. She was a former cashier at Smathers Supermarket and she enjoyed playing Bingo. She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Roberson; two grandchildren, Desiree Roberson of Candler and Ryan Roberson and his wife, Jennifer, of Weaverville; two great-grandchildren, Logan and Brody of Weaverville; one sister, Loretta Kirkpatrick of Greer and one brother, Frank Hyde of Canton. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. The family expresses their appreciation to the staff of Pisgah Manor for the loving care they provided to Ms. Hyde. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pisgah Manor Health Care Center, 95 Holcombe Cove Road, Candler, NC 28715. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting with the arrangements.
