Betty Marion Plemmons

Betty Marion Plemmons, 69, of Mills River, passed away March 15, 2015 at the Elizabeth House. A native of Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late Marion LeGrande Huggins and Mildred Elizabeth Matthews Huggins. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Couch and Pam Whitaker. Mrs. Plemmons graduated from University High School, which was on the campus of the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. She went on to work as a dental office manager. She is survived by her husband, Coleman Bruce Plemmons; one brother, Robert Huggins and his wife, Carole, as well as five nieces and two nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 112 Rays Place Lane, Horse Shoe, NC 28742. Ron Benzing and Greg Bell will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, the family graciously asks that you make a memorial contribution in Betty's memory to Four Season Hospice, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
