Betty Panther Eller

Betty Panther Eller, 82, of Asheville, died Thursday, July 28, 2011. Mrs. Eller was born in Tryon and was a daughter of the late Sidney G. and Mary Swann Panther. She was married to the late Roy C. McHarge and the late Vernon Gilbert Eller, and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ramona Blalock. Mrs. Eller worked as a Railway Clerk for 37 years. She is survived by a son, Mark P. Eller and his wife, Marie; step-sons, Daniel G. Eller and Gregory W. Eller and wife Audra; five grandchildren, Jennifer White and husband Stephen, Michael Blalock and wife Angie, Sean Eller and wife Aaryka, Monica Eller and Megan Eller, and a step-granddaughter, Britnay Eller. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Don Welborn officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
