Betty Rowland

Betty Reeves Rowland aged 92 was called home to our Lord on September 8th, 2021 in the early hours of the morning.

She was born to Clarence and Helen Reeves on August 24, 1925.

She graduated in the class of 1947 from Lee Edwards High School. She attended St. Genevieve’s of the Pines Jr. College. Betty married Calvin Rowland in New York on the television program called “Bride and Groome” on April 11, 1952. They were married 63 years before Calvin died in June of 2011.

Betty retired from UNC-A as a secretary from the Science Department for a number of years. She was a member of St. Lawrence Church.

The family thanks Carolina Pines for the care given to her.

The family will have a private graveside service.

Those left to survive her are her sister, Mary Tucker, her nephew Robert P. Tucker, II and his three children Devon, Rachel, and Mitchell.
