Betty Sue Rogers Daramus, 85, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at her residence.
She was born in Canton, Haywood Co., NC, but lived most of her life in Asheville, NC. Betty Sue was the daughter of the late Fleetwood Baxter and Connie Alma Whitmire Rogers. She was also preceded in death by her son, Michael Hugh Gaddy.
She is survived by her son, Fleetwood Gaddy (Penny); daughter, Joan Garrett (Tony); granddaughters, Redd Redmond, and Hannah and Autumn Smith; grandsons, Jackson (Ashley), Jordan and Cameron Garrett, and Travis Smith (Sarah); and her latest joy, great-granddaughter, Kennedy Garrett.
Ms. Daramus worked as a department store manager for many years at Ivey’s Dept Store. She loved working with people. In her later years, she enjoyed her family and the pursuit of antiques she loved.
The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Whitmire Cemetery, Lake Toxaway, NC.
