Beverly Plemmons Perry Huntley, 55, of 45 Wedgefield Place, Asheville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 13, 2005. She was a native of Buncombe County and was the daughter of Nina Plemmons Rhinehart and the late George W. Plemmons. Beverly was a faithful member of Maple Ridge Baptist Church and was retired from Southern Concrete. Surviving are a son and daughter in-law Brian K. and Becca Perry of Cary, NC; two brothers Wayne E. Plemmons and his wife Annette of Candler and the Rev. Roger K. Plemmons and his wife Carol of Union, SC; a sister Kathy M. Plemmons of Asheville; a nephew Mark W. Plemmons of Chicago, IL; a niece Stephanie P. McClanahan of Lebanon, TN, and special care-giver Thelma Stewart. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Roger K. Plemmons and Steve Fox officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home of the brother Wayne, 204 Fairmont Road, Candler. Memorials may be made to Maple Ridge Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o 1052B Charlotte Highway, Fairview, NC 28730.

  1. I’m so sorry to hear about Beverly’s passing. She was a valued employee of Southern Concrete and a wonderful person. She was missed from the company when she retired. Now she’ll be missed from our lives but never from our hearts.

  7. So sorry that I did not go visit Bev like I promised in the past year or so. I went to Enka High School as well as Asheville-Buncombe Tech with Beverly. We took turns driving to A-B Tech. Beverly was always lots of fun and full of laughter. I remember going to her home and her Mom and Dad were always so friendly and had christian values instilled in them and their family. Lots of good memories. Beverly was in my wedding and I was in her wedding. Sorry I have not been there like I should have the past few years. Thoughts and prayers are with your family.

    We are so sorry to hear about Beverly. We met her years ago but after her illness, we lost touch with her. A few months ago we had the pleasure of seeing her and meeting her sister at Lassisters Restaurant on several occassions. She was as beautiful as always. Her smile was unforgettable.
