Billie Mae Scott, 69, of Asheville, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at her residence.
A native of Los Angeles, CA, Mrs. Scott was a daughter of Vivian Marie Boyce and the late RZ Boyce.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sister, Pam Cleveland; brother, Stephen Boyce; sons, Pierre Scott and Shawn Scott; daughter, Bree Buzzard and husband Jason Buzzard; and two granddaughters. She is loved beyond measure and will be dearly missed by her family, friends, community and all those who were blessed by her life

I had the honor of working with Billie at JFK. Few people light up a room quite like ‘Miss Billie.’ I didn’t see her frequently, but when I did, it was often the highlight of my day. Whenever I was in Billie’s presence, I felt nothing but peace, warmth and love. My memories are full of smiles and laughter. I believe I can speak for all JFK staff when I say – we are all better for having known her. Her work on earth is done, and she will be greatly missed. Her family is in my prayers.
To Billie’s family, I am so sorry for each of you. Each of you have stories and special memories to last your lifetime and beyond.( There was the famous kitty litter incident, which still makes me laugh.) Billie’s life was filled with faith, laughter and love. How truly blessed we are to have been a part of her life.
