Bob G. Faulkner, of Hot Springs, formerly of Asheville, went to meet his Jesus on Saturday, October 27, 2007.
Mr. Faulkner was a son of the late J.B. and Elizabeth Faulkner, of Charlotte.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Bobbie; son, Kirk Ray; two daughters, Kymberly Renee, of Hot Springs, and Kellie Elizabeth, of Asheville; brother, Douglas; sisters, Lou, Janice, and Judy, of Charlotte six grandchildren, Josie and husband Paul, Christopher, Cody, Travis, Dana, and Chyanni; and three great-grandchildren, Lillian, Kobe, and Hayden. Bob had numerous cousins and friends that were very special to him. A special “thank you,” to Ken Butler: your friendship meant more than you will ever know.
Mr. Faulkner served in the U.S. Army for four years. He and his wife owned and operated Faulkner’s Florist on Leicester Highway, and Flowers by Faulkner in the Asheville Mall. He also worked for Northup King Seed Co., of Minneapolis, MN for 12 years, and at Prestige Dodge Subaru until he retired in 1996.
He retired to Port Charlotte, FL for seven years before returning to his mountains where he had been in declining health for the past two years.
A memorial service will be at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Madison Home Care & Hospice, 590 Medical Park Dr., Marshall, NC 28753.

Bobbie, our thoughts are with you during this time. I remember meeting you as a little girl and I think you and Frankie A were the first people I remember ever meeting outside of family and the little community of Olivette Road.
