Bobbie Ruth McKinnish Griffin, 88, of Candler, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023.

A native of Swain Co., Bobbie was a daughter of the late Jerman McKinnish and Naomi Grant Barnett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Troy Frank Griffin, Jr., and her son, C. Max Queen.

Mrs. Griffin retired from Greyhound Lines, Inc., working in several departments including accounting. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Asheville.

Surviving is her son, Randy Queen; grandchildren, Charlotte Clubb (Tony), Caleb Queen (Samantha), Sarah Mills (Nick Morris), Traci West (Jeremy) and Joshua Queen (Ashley); great-grandchildren, Grant Hipps, Gracen Hipps, Dalton Croft, Bailey Queen, Taylor Queen and Audrey Queen; daughter-in-law, Janie Queen; brother, Jack Barnett (Elaine); and long-time caregiver, Linda Hamer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with Pastor Allen Rash officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
