Bobby Gene Payne, 70, of Asheville, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018.
A native of Buncombe Co., Bobby was a son of the late Tommy Frank Payne and Kathleen McGalliard Payne. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and worked for Square D.
Surviving are his daughters, Terri Kirkpatrick (Jason), Heather Payne, Holly Russell (Jamie Hornbuckle), and Tracey Mace (Brandon); son, Mark Payne (Carrie); grandchildren, Cody, Thomas, Chloe, Makayla, Hailey, Chad, Zane, Zander, Zoey, and Zach; and brother, Eddie Payne (Sandy).
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5 at Redmon Cemetery, with Rev. David Jones officiating.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Groce Funeral Home, Patton Avenue, prior to the graveside service.
