Bonnie Lynn Cost, of Asheville, passed away peacefully at her home on September 9, 2021 at the age of 79.

Bonnie was born September 12, 1941 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Charles Campbell in Dayton, OH. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Bryan Lamb.

In 1964, she and her husband moved to Asheville, where she resided for 57 years. In the 1970’s, she began a school of dance, where she taught ballet, tap and modern jazz at her home and later at the Skyland Recreation Club. Over the course of her teaching career, she taught many young ladies who referred to her as “Miss Bonnie”. She was a long-time member of the Land O’Sky Doll Club and attended both Arden Presbyterian Church and Mount Carmel Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Noel Cost; daughter Dawn Lamb; sons Dean Cost (his wife Wendy) and Todd Cost; grandchildren, Tyler Lamb, Brittany Cost and Cody Cost and a great-grandson, Beniniah Lamb.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the many CN’s, nurses, doctors, ministers and others at Four Seasons Hospice for the care and comfort they provided to Bonnie. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Four Seasons Hospice Angel Fund, 211 N. Main Street, Hendersonville, NC 28792.

A small family celebration of Bonnie’s life will be held at a later date.

Groce Funeral Home’s Lake Julian team is assisting the family.

  7. So many wonderful memories of my friendship with Bonnie! We met at the Skyland Rec pool at the water aerobics classes way back in 1990? and several of us became fast friends! We called ourselves the “swimmin women” and we often went out to lunch, visited each other in our homes, had parties for the whole aerobics class, and even went on day trips and weekend trips together! Bonnie and the gang all came to my daughter’s wedding. She meant a lot to me and I treasured our friendship. I moved away some years ago and had not seen her recently but she will always be in my heart. My sincere condolences Noel and to Dawn, Dean and Todd and families. She always talked so lovingly of you all. Remembering our times together will always bring a smile to my face. My prayers and loving thoughts are with you all.

  8. Dear Noel and Dawn,
