Bonnie K. Christopher

Mrs. Christopher was a native of Haywood County, was a daughter of the late Columbus and Minnie K. King, and was married to Luther Christopher, who died in 1977.  She was a former employee of Pisgah Elementary School, and attended Carson Memorial Baptist Church in Kings Mountain.

She is survived by six daughters, Margaret Holcombe of Kings Mountain, Bertha Trull of Ellenboro, Ruby Sharpe of Stanley, Joyce Brendell of Candler, and Juanita King and Dorothy Supernant of Asheville;  three sisters, Ollie Trull of Asheville, Lassie Christopher of Ranlo, and Elvira Green of Gastonia;  a brother, Ralph King of Candler;  seventeen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Sprinkle officiating.  Burial will be in Glady Baptist Church Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral
home and at other times will be at the home of Dorothy Supernant, 82 Candler Knob Road, Asheville, NC 28806.
