Bonnie Mae Taylor Welborn, 91, of 27 Summey Cove Rd., Candler, died on Monday, August 18, 2008, at her residence. A native of Buncombe Co., Mrs. Welborn was a daughter of the late Turner and Martha Ann Rice Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Ellis Welborn, who died in 1979; sisters, Argana Brown, and Jessie DeVore, and brothers, J.C., Charlie, and George Taylor. Mrs. Welborn is survived by her daughters, Lorraine Cody, of Asheville, and Lucille Johnston, and Norma Rice, both of Candler; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. A funeral service for Mrs. Welborn will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave., with the Rev. Adam Vernon officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

  4. DON’T KNOW IF YOU ALL REMEMBER ME OR NOT.. I DO REMEMBER YOU ALL.. RONNIE AND I USE TO COME TO YOUR HOUSE AND YOU WOULD VISIT US… I CAN STILL SEE YOUR DAD CLIMBING POLES AND PUTTING UP THE ANTENA’S… WE WERE ALL INTO THE CB’S.
