Bonnie Sue Hall West, 81, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock. Mrs. West was born in Rutherford Co. NC to the late John Hall and Lottie Hall Keeter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James “J.W.” West and two sisters, Ruby Israel and Cathy Keeter. Bonnie was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Skyland. She is survived by her four daughters; Cynthia Haney and her husband, Erick, Teresa Stills and her husband, Steve, Phyllis Whittington and her husband, James, and Marlene Rainwater and her husband, Rodney; two sisters, Betty Merrell and Margaret Soulsby; eight grandchildren, Stephen Stills, Donald Stills, Paul Stills, Brian Haney, Erica Haney, Chris Rainwater, Jeremy O’steen, and Lauren Thompson; twelve great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Overlook Road in Skyland with Reverend Cecil Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 at the church. Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church building fund.

  2. I just recived a message of your loss,i only knew Bonnie West through playing Farmville,sending each other gifts,and passing messages what we needed for the farm,my deepest sympthy to the family.So sad,I will light a candel for Bonnie..R.I.P.in gods arms.

  3. So sorry to here about Aunt Bonnie she was a great woman and a heck of a good cook! My sympathy goes out to all the family.
