Boyce Edward Crowe

ARDEN- Boyce E. Crowe, 80, of 191 Birch Lane, died Friday, Feb 4, 2000 in an Asheville hospital. A resident of Buncombe County for thirty years, he was the son of the late Arthur and Texanna Martin Crowe. He retired from Carolina Power and Light with thirty-four years of service. He was a member of Skyland Baptist Church where he served as a former deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was a five year veteran of the US Army where he served in Panama and in the Pacific Theatre. He is survived by his wife, Clara Hunter Crowe; one son, Phillip Crowe of Canton; one sister, Jeanette Mason of Knoxville; two brothers, Ray Crowe of Marshall and Ned Crowe of Swannanoa and one special grandaughter, Dr. Melody Franks of Anderson S.C.; several neices and nephews and a host of friends. Services will be held Sunday, February 6, 2000 at 3 pm in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with the Reverend Greg Corn officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Episcopal Churchyard in Fletcher. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Long Shoals Road.
