Brenda Davis Rhinehart, 63, of Sams Branch Road, Candler, died Saturday, September 17, 2011. Mrs. Rhinehart was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Troy C. and Inez McFee Davis. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Steve and Donnie Davis. Mrs. Rhinehart worked as an aide with disabled children and she loved her children, her grandchildren and her church, the Open Bible Church in Candler. She is survived by her husband, Danny Rhinehart; two daughters, Kim Rhinehart Hofman and Kay Rhinehart; three grandchildren, David Cory Cook, Dakota Hoffman and Hunter Hoffman; and a brother, Scott Davis. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Danny Rhinehart, Marvin Watts and Austin Watts officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. Monday and again one hour prior to the service Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813, or to Open Bible Church, c/o Marvin Watts, 117 Avondale Road, Asheville, NC 28803.

  6. I have so many fond childhood memeories of playing at Brenda’s house with her girls! What fun we had. Brenda was such a sweet person.I have thought of all of you over the years and am thankful for the times we were blessed to share. I am so sorry for your loss.
