Brenda Fortune Vaughn

March 22, 1947 ~ November 6, 1998

Brenda Fortune Vaughn, 51, of 131 Edgewood Road, Wellington Park, Arden, died Friday, November 6, 1998, in an Asheville hospital.

Mrs. Vaughn was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Marcellus and Pauline Sluder Fortune. She was a CNA at Givens Estate.

She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Vaughn of Arden; a son Marcellus Mitchell Vaughn of Charlotte; a special friend and companion, Robert E. Butler; a brother, Ronnie Fortune of Arden; and two grandchildren, Autume Marie Vaughn and Marcellus Mitchell Vaughn II.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Monday at New Salem Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends from 4-6:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
