Brenda Gail Beasley Ray, 61, of Fairview, died Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Mission Hospital.
A native of Bryson City, she was a daughter of the late James and Margaret Cline Beasley.
Mrs. Ray worked as an Insurance Agent, and she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Fairview.
Mrs. Ray is survived by her husband, Eugene Ray; daughter, Amanda King of Swannanoa; sister, Patricia Ann Long of Shelby; brothers Jimmy Beasley and wife Doris of Old Fort, and Roger Beasley of Weaverville; nieces, Natasha, Neisa, Gemma, and Alex; nephew, Brandon; great-nieces, Alexis and LeAnn; and great-nephew, Cody.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2015, at Calvary Baptist Church of Fairview, with the Reverends Robert Ponder and Chris L. Reese officiating. Interment will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Rd.

We send our sincere sympathy for the loss of a gentle, loving soul. We cherish the memory of Brenda. She was a precious family member. Loving thoughts from Aunt Jackie Tarver and cousins John Fry and Judy Bryan.
Sending lots of love and light to the family in this time of loss. Brenda was and ALWAYS will be a special person that will have a following of sheer grace and love. Giving everyone she came into contact with a kind word, and that beautiful smile. Such an angel, one that will be missed!

My thoughts and prayers go out to Gene, Amanda and family. She was such a good and loving person. I will miss are workouts and her friendship. We had many good times and laughs. Rest in peace Brenda.
I haven’t seen Brenda in the years since our daughters went to school and played softball together, but I will always remember Brenda for her friendly smile and wonderful personality. My thoughts and prayers go to her loved ones in this time of grief.
Brenda will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Eugene, Amanda and family. We love you all.
She was truly one of the warmest, kind hearted people i know. I am honored to have known her. God bless you Eugene and Amanda. I will remember you in my prayers.
