BROWNLOE WILLIS REEVES
ASHEVILLE – Brownloe Willis Reeves, 75, of Asheville, died on Sunday, January 23, 2011, at his home.
A native of Buncombe Co., he was a son of the late James Russell Reeves and Savannah Brown Reeves Smith. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Tom Reeves.
Mr. Reeves retired after 22 years as a Drill Instructor with the U.S. Marines.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Roberson Reeves; a daughter, Donna McDevitt and husband, Tom; sons Ricky Reeves and wife, Betty, Wesley Reeves and wife Kay; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister Ann Scruggs; and brothers Nelson, James (Shorty) and wife Jeanette, William (Red) and wife, Diane, and Edward and wife Sandra.
A funeral service for Mr. Reeves will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ray Hipps and the Rev. Donnie Henson officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with military graveside rites.
His family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Brownloe will be missed greately by all of us, He was not only a cousin , but a TRUE friend to my Mom and Dad. We are so sorry for your great loss. Love and prayers, Viola, Sandra, Lee & Dylan Reeves

I’m so thankful that Brownloe was able to attend our last Sand Hill High Scool reunion. He was my dear friend and classmate. A 100% marine OOH RAH
Brownloe was a high school classmate. I am so glad that Brownloe was able to come to our 50th class reunion this summer. My heart goes out to his wife and family.
