Bruce Barton Rhodes

He was born in Buncombe County, and was the son of the late Will and Minnie Ducker Rhodes.
He lived with Louise and Reed Gregory for 16 years before moving to the health care facility.
He is survived by four sisters, Louise Gregory of Arden, Frances Bullard of Charlotte, Margaret Brown of Shelby and Jean Carter of Tryon; two brothers, Vernon Rhodes of Candler and Max Rhodes of Raleigh.
He was preceded in death by four brothers James, Bill Woodfin and Raymond Rhodes.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday in the Lake Julian Chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Neill S. Shaw officiating. His family will recieve friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Down Syndrome Society, 606 Broadway St., New York, NY 10012, or to the Will and Minnie Rhodes Scholarship Fund, C/O T.C. Roberson High School, 250 Overlook Road, Asheville, NC 28803.
