  4. my father was dying of lung cancer and my wife kicked me out of the house for coming home drunk. for 5 weeks i was homeless. needless to say, it was a low time in my life. i worked on c-shift at sta.9 and when A-shift was on duty, Harold, at the risk of getting into trouble, on countless nights, let me sleep in the station rather than sleep in the back of my truck. He was a strong man with a huge heart and his genorosity impacted my life forever. Pleasant memories about Harold will never die. God bless you!

  5. We are so sorry far the LOSS of Harold, we have a lot of memories growing up together, playing golf, and just being friends. God Bless.

  7. Mary, Karen and Brian:

    You guys are in my prayers. God is good, all the time. I have a lot of respect for Harold and enjoyed seeing him from time to time, normally when me and my Dad were out doing something together.

    I haven’t got to see you all in a long time, but I hope each of you are well. Please stay strong in the Lord, as He is our strength.

  8. Although we were cousins, we didn’t see that much of each other except at family gatherings. The last time I saw Harold was at my Dad’s funeral last May.

    It was such a shock to hear that Harold too had passed. Take comfort in knowing that he has a loving family there also, to welcome him. I just wanted you to know of our heartfelt prayers and good wishes to you and your family during this time of loss.

  9. Dear Brian, Howard and family;

I look forward to us all reuniting one day in heaven.

  11. Aunt Mary, Brian and Karen
    There are no words to describe the loss we all share of Uncle Harold’s passing. I have so many memories of the time we spent together. All his stories from the fire station and the days spent hunting down at Green river. When he spoke the whole room was his captive audience. His big smile, roaring laugh and most of all the love in his eyes for my dear Aunt Mary I’ll never forget. He was a great father, loving husband, and to his sweet grandaughter Melody he hung the moon! I know he’s in heaven now telling stories to Gaggy (Ed Roberson)about all the things that have transpired since he passed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I love you Aunt Mary, cousin Brian and cousin Karen…

  12. Our prayers go out to each of you.I pray God will wrap his loving arms around each of you & comfort you in the days ahead.Harold was a special man. My husband & Harold worked together several years at the fire department. When the kids & I would go by to see Otis,Harold always came out & talked with us.I saw him out about a year ago & he told me all about his granddaughter & kids.He would always ask about our family.Otis will always remember the funny stories he would tell at the fire station.Otis will always remember the good old days with Harold & Jerry Thomason.Otis was so glad he called Harold a few weeks ago & talked to him for a long time.Harold is in heaven now With no more pain & suffering.Keep trusting in God & he will see you through your darkest days.Love & Prayers
    Beth,Otis,Dylana & Garrett Twiss

  16. Mary, Karen and Brian
    Such a tragedy, such a loss.No words are sufficient. We dearly loved Harold. To listen to him tell stories – you were there – He told every little detail. And a jolly ,from the belly, laugh. I considered him a brother, not only at the Fire Department but in life.
    We are thinking of you and if you need anything at all, please do not hesitate to call.

  17. I have been blessed in life to have
    have known and worked with Harold.
    Our prayers and thoughts are with
    you all.
