A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late John Daniel and Pollie Josephine Redmon Burnette. She was a former employee of Beacon Manufacturing.
Ms. Burnette is survived by two sisters, Gertrude Wilson and Pearl Noland and two brothers, Perry and Elbert Burnette all of Asheville.
Services will be held at 2 pm Monday in the Rose Hill Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Chester Owenby. Burial will follow in Gashes Crek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is in charge of arrangements.
