Judy, Barry, Kevin and family,
Words are not easy…
I feel your emptiness, your sadness, your loneliness…
Judy,
You could look a million years and never find another Carl…he was truly special…and he loved you soooo much… I know he will live forever in your heart with all the wonderful memories of your lifetime together. I look forward to remembering wonderful times shared with you all.
Barry and Kevin,
Carl was always fun, whether antiquing, eating out or just visiting…he could always make me laugh.. I will always miss that little sneaky smile when he would say ‘whatever’ and Judy and I would both have to laugh no matter how ridiculous it usually was… I’m sure he has passed that little gift on to you guys and hopefully to his grandsons… what a treasure that is!!
As you know John doesn’t have a lot to say about anyone but he has talked about how much he really liked Carl. We will miss Carl and we will always remember that infectious mischievous grin he broke into all the time.
We’ll be just a call away if you need us. We will be keeping in touch.
Much love,
Blanche and John
Judy, I am so SORRY, Gene and I just found out, I miss him terribly, and Gene said he was a TRUE gentleman, in this world where there are not many left. I love you, and I will be in touch, Kathy and Gene

Dearest Judy,
I was so very saddened to learn of the passing of Carl. It seems in times like these all our memories go back to our childhood. And yes, we were all just children when Carl came into the family. I will always remember that laugh as he made all of us laugh. Remember you were the first of our circle to marry and therefore, Carl became the first as well for all of us. We all grew up together and what wonderful memories they were. He has made you such a wonderful husband, a wonderful father and grandfather. In my mind we are all still those teenagers therefore it was much much too soon for him to go. Oh so long ago but seems only a short yester years.
Barry and Kevin and your grandchildren are such great legacies for him to leave. Your little 14 -year old grandson was so special to deliver that wonderful and truly heartbreaking ulogy to his grandfather, Carl. I was so very touched.
The Comming days will be tough. However, I do know you are a very strong lady. Now, you are going through the motions but later, is when you will need your strength. Please know that all of us, your life-long friends, are by your side. We will pray with you, laugh with you and cry with you. We will be there for you. Don’t forget that and we know what a wake-up-call it is that life is so very short. Please let us all stay in touch often as friends are all so special especially in times of our needs.
Your life-long friend.
Judy and family,
I am so sorry at the unexpected loss of Carl. Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this sad time. God bless you all.
Love,
Betty Jo

My dearest friend, Judy. I feel so very sad at this moment and I would just love to throw my arms around you and hold you until all your tears and sorrow can go away. How empty this world will be without Carl. I feel that a little bit of me has gone as he was so much a part of all our young lives and was the one that made all of us laugh. There are just no words right now to express my sympathy for you and your family. I know that Barry and Kevin will be there to comfort you but they have also suffered a great loss as he was a wonderful husband and a wonderful father. I love you, Your friend always, Betty Sellers
We are sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. May God comfort and bless you and ease your sorrow.

May God be with you, and the ones you left behind.

Dear Mrs. Powell and Family,
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Powell. He put down our hardwoods in our house in Biltmore Park. Mr. Powell and I talked several times and he reminded me so much of my own father. He was a very nice, hard-working man.
Our sincere condolences are with you and your family.
I know that nothing can prepare you for a sudden tragedy. Just know that Carl is holding the Lord’s hand and walking with Him watching over you and protecting you. My sincere condolences to all the family and may God bless each and every one of you.
