Carl Nathan Johnson

Carl Nathan Johnson passed away on March 27, 2024 at his home in Hendersonville, NC at the age of 38. Carl was born in Houston, Texas on November 8, 1985. He lived in Sugarland, TX until August 1996 when his family moved to Garden City, NY. He and his family then moved to Alpharetta, GA, a suburb of Atlanta, in August 1999.

Carl graduated from Washington University in St. Louis summa cum laude with a BA in history and psychology. Afterwards he moved to Israel where he studied Talmud in Jerusalem at Shapell’s Darche Noam and the Mir Yeshiva. He then obtained an LLB from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, The Faculty of Law. He was a member of the New York State Bar Association.

Carl is survived by his parents, Kirk A. Johnson and Minette Liebling Johnson, Hendersonville, NC, sister Natalie Larah (Mark) and nieces Eleanor Rae Larah, and Frances Helen Larah, Austin, TX, grandmother Norda Johnson, Tilden, NE and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him.

A graveside funeral was held on Thursday, April 4, 2024, 12:00 PM at Lou Pollock Cemetery, Asheville, NC.
