Carlene “Susie” Wells Reed, 88, died on Monday, February 4, 2019, at the WNC Baptist Home.
A native of Buncombe Co., Susie was the daughter of the late Carl P. and Grace Cole Wells. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Herbert Reed; and brothers, Wayne C. Wells and Wiley A. Wells.
Mrs. Reed is survived by her daughters, Brenda Karen Reed McIntosh (Lloyd) and Karla Yvonne Reed, and son, James Terry Reed.
The memorial service for Mrs. Reed will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Western Chapel United Methodist Church, where she had been a member. The Rev. Chad Ellege will officiate.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
