Carlus Bruce Goodson, 81, of Candler, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021.
A native of Asheville, Mr. Goodson was a son of the late Cash and Hilda Miller Goodson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Glenna June Goodson.
Mr. Goodson was a graduate of Enka High School, and served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Square D. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying the mountains, fishing and hunting. He loved spending time and traveling with his wife.
Surviving are his son, Chuck Goodson and his wife Heather, and his grandson, Christopher.
Joint graveside services with Military Honors to honor Carlus and his wife, June, will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Green Hills Cemetery.

There are few men who have made as big an impact on myself and my family as Carlus. A dependable and formidable man, neighbor, father and friend. He will be missed by many. June and Carlus were family for sure.
It was a gift to call him friend. A kind and gentle man. Go up high my brother!
There really are no words right now, just so thankful his body is healed and he is with June, the love of his life. We have had some good talks lately and I am glad I could be there to listen when he needed me. Rest in peace my friend….love you Carlus…..Karen McCracken
I was blessed with Carlosas a classwmate from first grade thru High School. Then blessed to work with him at Square D for 25 Years. He was truly a great friend a devoted husband and a GREAT DAD AS WELL AS A GRANDFATHER HE IS NOW IN HEAVEN WITH HIS PRECIOU8S WIFE LOOKING DOWN ON HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS SAYING IT IS GREAT HERE COME WHEN GOD CALLS YOU YOUR SPECIAL FRIEND IN CHRIST CHARLINE TIPTON VHRISTOPJER MAY YOU REST IN PEACE

We are so shocked and sorry to hear about Carlus. He and June were two wonderful family members, and we have some happy memories of them for many years. Thoughts and prayers to Chuck, and other family members of Carlus.,
