Carolyn Alice Marshall, 85, passed away on Christmas morning, Wednesday, December 25th, 2024.
Carolyn was born in Miami, Florida in 1939, however she resided in Mims, Florida at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Bynum Orr and Carrie Morrison. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Bynum Morrison Jr., husband, Winford Boyd Marshall, and son, Frederic Vance Sprague. Carolyn was a dedicated and caring daughter, mother, wife, and grandmother. She had a love for animals and her family.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Donna Lee Sprague; son, Douglas Orr Sprague; and step children, Winford Boyd Marshall Jr., Nancy Tipps, and Trina Marshall. Carolyn is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
The graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 7th at Green Hills Cemetery in Asheville NC. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family.

Donna and Douglas,
I’m Carolyn’s first cousin, her father and my mother, Carrie, were brother and sister. Although they lived in Florida, they visited each summer throughout our childhood. I have a special memory of Carolyn, a couple of years younger than me. When we played hide-and-seek, she would stand still and cover her eyes! I rarely saw her as adults, but I will miss her. My sympathies to both of you and children and grandchildren. Peggy
