Carolyn Creasman Jenkins, 80, of Asheville, NC passed away on February 29, 2024. Carolyn was a beloved daycare owner who dedicated her life to caring for children. Her nurturing spirit and love for kids touched the lives of many in the community.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Jenkins; parents, Gene Creasman and Dot Creasman; brother, Eugene Jr. (Tootie); and precious grandson Miles McMahan.

She is survived by her children, Darlene McMahan (Denny), Janice Bluhm (Philip), Michael Jenkins, Sharon Loftin (Tim), and Renee Collins (Jerry); grandchildren, Evan, Krystal (Nathon), Danielle, Lexie (Matt), Erica (Mike), Dylan (Lacey), Shannon (Justin), Sarah, Seth, Matthew, Wesley, and Nick; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Haley, Avyanna, Kayden, Gracelynn, Junior, Sophia and MJ; and her lifelong best friend, Betty Ballew.

She loved her church family. Her faith was an integral part of her life.

A funeral service will be held at Oteen Baptist Church, where she was a devout member, on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Joe Steadman and Major Waddell will officiate. Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Green Hills Cemetery.

Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road is assisting the family.
