Carolyn was my very first boss at age 17 in 1969. She was so kind and friendly and made me feel comfortable as a young, naive, and inexperienced employee. She always looked out for her ‘children’ and gave us opportunities to grow with the company. I owe a debt of gratitude to Ms. Carolyn today for helping me build a firm foundation for what has turned into a 37-year career now. God be with you all, her family, and close friends. She was a positive influence to many young ladies and gentlemen with AT&T/BellSouth, and we thank her.

I went to work for Southern Bell in 1967 and was very fortunate to have Carolyn Moore as my Group Chief Operator. Through her wisdom and patience I learned so much. She helped me in so many ways and advised me to keep the job. Thankfully I listened to her and stayed with the company for 34 years. To me she was an ICON. Carolyn and I lost track of each other but I will never forget her and the friend she was to me during those telephone company years.
I am very saddened to hear of her sudden death. She was a wonderful, sweet lady that will surely be missed. My prayers are with you during this very sad time. I pray that God will be close to you and bless you with mercy and peace.
I was saddened to read in my email that Carolyn had passed away July 26th while we were out of town on vacation. Betty Sue, you are in my thoughts and prayers and I sure wished I could have talked to her before her death. Carolyn was an inspiration to me as I began my career in 1969 with Southern Bell. I continued to work with her for several years in other departments and saw her many times when I was employed at Telco. She will be missed. So sorry we were out of town or I would have been at the receiving of friends, because she was a great friend & mentor.

To all of the family,
Carolyn was such a precious lady, always had a smile and she loved people.. At the greenhouse Carolyn was always around to greet and talk with the customers, etc.
We knew her from seeing her at the greenhouse each time we went.
She was such a good friend to Susie and Jack Arrowood and Jack and Kay Young and all of us others who had the privledge to know her.
We know she is planting and picking flowers now in heaven and that one day we will meet her up there.
Carolyn, Buddy will miss you ‘hot peppers’.
Buddy and Irma Rudisill
Our love and prayers are with you, Betty Sue. May the sweet memories Carolyn left you be comforting as you walk through this lonesome valley of grief.
God’s strength and courage to face each new tomorrow will be with everyday.

It was nice getting re-acquainted with Carolyn at the greenhouses. I met her in the sixties while working at southern bell. She was so helpful to us and gave us personal attention. May the grace of God be with her family during this difficult time.
