Carolyn Powell Morgan, 86, of Asheville, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021.

A native of Columbus Co., NC, she was a daughter of the late Napoleon S. Powell and Allie Frink Powell. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Powell Garrison.

Surviving are her daughter, Kim Leigh Morgan, and her adopted daughter, Mary Slaten.

A memorial service for Mrs. Morgan will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 11, in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with Rev. Terry Green officiating.
