Carolyn Virginia Wright Presley

Carolyn Virginia Wright Presley, 86, of Fairview, passed away February 27, 2025 at Lakebridge in Johnson City, TN.

A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Lehmon Alexander and Virginia Louise Wright. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, William “Bill” Robert Presley and one son, Tim Presley.

Carolyn is survived by four children, Brenda Presley Tyree (Bruce) of Limestone, TN, Trisha Presley of Nashville, TN, Andy Presley (Alesia) of Fairview and Diane Presley Edwards (Joel) of Mars Hill; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one sister, JoAnn Creson; one brother, Bud Wright (Charlie) and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 PM on Monday, March 3, 2025 in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Pastor Bobby Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Emma’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery and the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Gentiva Hospice, 208 Sunset Drive #365, Johnson City, TN 37604.
