Carrell Earl Luther, 83, formerly of Asheville, passed away Monday, January 7, 2008, with his family by his side at Embracing Hospice Center in Snellville, GA.
A native of Buncombe Co., he was a son of the late Loran Aster and Loretta Rhodes Luther. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Linda Louise Luther.
Mr. Luther was a retired salesman with Sears and was a former member of Mt. Carmel and Beaverdam Baptist churches.
Surviving are a son, Danny Luther of Lawrenceville, GA; a daughter, Nancy Carol Hubbell of Grayson, GA; a brother, Rex C. Luther and wife June of Candler; two sisters, Aldene Reece of Asheville and Eva Glenn and husband Woody of Leicester; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. with Rev. Charlie Sams officiating. Interment will follow at Sluder Cemetery.
His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

I just read that Carrell passed away. I talked with him several times before Aunt Reddie died alittle about the family history. He was a very nice man and I’m sure he will be missed by many. After you have time to deal with this loss I would love to hear from some of the family.
